Warehouse Assistant

For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Warehouse Assistant.

 

Summary

This position provides warehouse support to various departments within the company in support of IQAir's 100% positive customer and employee experience commitment. Duties are performed in adherence with IQAir policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

 

  • Accurately fulfill and ship orders
  • Prepare receipt of goods and restock items as needed. This process involves the moving of product or materials by hand, dollies or manual pallet jack.
  • Receive products, inspect shipments, unload trucks or container deliveries
  • Make repairs & rebox items, as needed
  • Read packing slips and shipping instructions
  • Labeling, sorting and loading/unloading of items and boxes.
  • Organize and clean the warehouse area and ensure repair benches and work areas are neat, safe and properly stocked with necessary supplies and tools at all times.
  • Wearing of proper safety equipment is required.
  • Cycle count of inventory
  • Assembling kits or sales packets
  • Data entry & filing
  • Assist with daily storage of company vehicles
  • Other projects as assigned

 

Other Requirements

 

May be required to attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly stand, walk and lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Typing 35-40 WPM (min)
  • Able to successfully complete pre-employment drug and background screen.

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base pay range for this position is $18 hourly and most new hires start at $18 an hour.  Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
