Accounting Intern

For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for an Accounting Intern.
Summary
The Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting Department with a variety of tasks that will give the intern real world exposure to the financial principles and theory learned in the classroom. The Accounting Intern is expected to work full-time at 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Review and post customer payments from Amazon
- Review and reconcile various marketplace facilitator sales orders to what has been interfaced into the ERP system
- Coordinate with Customer Service department on any orders missing sales invoices that were found during the reconciliation process.
- Assist Accounts Payable with reviewing, checking and processing A/P bills.
- Assist Accounts Receivable with reviewing, collecting and disputing chargebacks.
- Assist the Customer Service department with processing zero dollar invoices
- Work closely with the Customer Service department to resolve all outstanding customer order issues including refunds and sales return orders.
- Other projects as assigned

May be required to attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.
Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in written form
- Basic Accounting and business skills from undergraduate study of accounting; persons with general business coursework as well as several semesters in Accounting preferred. Can include general accounting, cost accounting, auditing, statistics and economics.
- Must be a college senior or graduate.
- Must be computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word with emphasis on Excel
- Able to type a minimum of 50 wpm
- Able to pass pre-employment drug and background screening

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is between $20 and $25 hourly and most new hires start at $20 an hour. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
