Communications Intern (3-month internship)

La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Communications Intern.

 

Summary

 

The Communications Intern supports the Marketing Content Team in creating and editing content for multiple channels. They assist with messaging strategy, draft and refine materials, including blog and other website content, and help develop product- or department-specific press and promotional content, gaining hands-on experience in professional marketing communications.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in drafting and editing copy for the Marketing Content Team, including blog articles, landing pages, emails, FAQs, and corporate announcements
  • Support writing science-oriented content, translating technical topics like indoor air quality into clear, audience-friendly language
  • Help develop marketing and sales materials, such as brochures and case studies, under guidance from team members
  • Edit and copyedit content for clarity, style, and adherence to AP and company-specific guidelines
  • Support the Marketing Content team with project tracking, reporting, and administrative tasks using tools like Wrike
  • Perform other communications-related tasks as assigned to gain exposure across the Marketing Content Team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of Wrike a plus
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screen

         

 

Other Requirements

May be required to attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base pay for this position is $23.00. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications and experience.
