Website Lead / Webmaster - Sr. Manager

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) is looking for a creative, critical, “big picture” thinker to serve as Website Lead (Sr Manager) for As the Website Lead / Webmaster you will have oversight and full responsibility for the website inclusive of development, user experience, content updates, and will plan and execute all SEO/SEM and Google Ads campaigns. Your innovative and analytical thinking will ensure that our website reflects the breakthrough work we are doing with our centers, research, and members while celebrating and elevating the IAB brand initiatives. As part of the IAB MARCOM team, you will maintain communication workflows, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and buy-in from other departments. You will also be responsible for partnering with the PMO on developing new standard operating procedures and gathering feedback for process improvements. You will have experience creating and managing dynamic websites that focus on effective navigation, strong storytelling with a premium design and visual aesthetic, and a track record of collaborating with and managing contract developers and vendors.

Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Manage the IAB website, prioritizing initiatives, analyzing site trends, and improving user experience/journeys
  • Lead and execute website development projects end to end, present progress updates, and demonstrate new functionalities
  • Execute all content updates for the IAB website in WordPress and train team members as needed
  • Consult with internal stakeholders to determine the website's desired appearance and functionalities and recommend improvements to user experience, information architecture, and new templates
  • Source, negotiate with, contract, and oversee external vendors for dev work as needed.
  • Maintain expertise in SEO techniques and implement SEO best practices
  • Ensure implementation of best practices in website tracking including relevant plug-ins with other systems, UTM tracking, etc.
  • Run monthly reports inclusive of user experiences, trends, visitor/member insights, and recommend new areas to test and improve in coordination with the ops team
  • Manage website performance and funnel analysis via Google Analytics and other tools to identify insights and create value
  • Manage IAB pixel use and tracking
  • Maintain and update Google Ads account and optimize keywords / key term searches, implementing best SEM practices
  • Partner with PMO to document website development processes and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s’ degree or higher 
  • A passion for digital media and customer experience
  • 5+ years' experience executing website strategy, development, and content with work experience at a media, ad technology company, or interactive/digital/UX agency 
  • History of vendor sourcing, negotiations, onboarding, and relationships
  • HTML/CSS and SEO experience for optimization of web pages and user funnel / flow
  • Expert in building and managing WordPress and other CMS
  • Front-end and back-end web development experience a plus
  • Solid knowledge of marketing automation and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketo, Hubspot, Salesforce, Moz, SEMRush, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Data Studio a plus
  • Proven experience initiating and optimizing SEM and PPC campaigns (Google Ads)
  • Self-directed, detail and solutions oriented, with formidable project management skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing skills with a knack for storytelling in both long and short-form mediums while maintaining a keen editor’s eye with copy and creative
  • Effective listening, speaking, and leadership skills with the ability to lead executive-level meetings and communications
  • Master in pulling analytics, creating dashboards, and distilling the performance data into clear and concise presentations
  • Salesforce / CRM expertise a plus
