SUMMARY: 

The Manufacturing Planner will work in a manufacturing factory daily; no virtual work shall be allowed or considered. This position works with an experienced team of managers, Manufacturing Engineers providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

 · Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.

· Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies.

·Develops and integrates processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.

· Works with engineering to develop and author rework instructions for non-conforming products.

· Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.

· Works with manufacturing engineering to develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.

· Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues.

· Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.

·  Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.

· Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

· Works under general direction

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


 QUALIFICATIONS

Education And/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous aviation experience preferred
  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years working with an ERP system
  • Knowledge of AS9100D:ISO9001 2015 (preferred)
  • Knowledge of NADCAP (preferred)
  • Familiarity with the properties of aluminum alloy, properties of aluminum honeycomb core, metal forming, machining, heat treat, adhesive bonding, honeycomb sandwich layup, autoclave cure

 

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Windows and MS Office Applications; Word and Excel

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • The engineering loft is airconditioned, but the factory floor is not. It’s hot in the summer, cool in the winter
