The CTO will join our team to deliver technical vision and strategy to build and scale our current real-time animation product. They will also be Mindshow’s spokesperson in all technology-related matters in external conversations regarding our unique product offerings. Our ideal candidate will have well-rounded developer and stakeholder management skills, a strong technology background, and the ability to provide clear vision along with the strategies to execute & deliver on quality engineering solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Technical oversight of all projects including owning the outcomes of critical technology decisions in development, ensuring the team is best navigating those decisions, and making key determinations on which technologies to invest in + how to best put them into practice

• Partner closely with CEO for high level strategic conversations 

• Oversee the development plan, schedule, and process for multiple simultaneous projects, including tasks, resources, quality, time, priorities, and costs

• Effectively coordinate with technology stakeholders across the company, ensuring healthy and productive communication between engineering, production, creative, and product

• Own people and career development for both leads and individual contributors, including mentoring team members and ensuring there is effective leadership across the engineering team

• Partner closely with recruiting to efficiently scale the engineering team 

• Maintain a broad view of emerging technologies and developments

  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years managing software development teams

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience

• Experience building technical teams and establishing a strong development culture

• Hands-on knowledge of multiple programming languages such as C#, Python, C++, etc.

• Experience with Unity and/or Unreal

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes
