Position Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst reports to the Director of Product Development and is responsible for knowing the product inside and out. This position is charged with ensuring that customer-facing features are easy to use and that all facets of the product continue to function as expected when new features are added. This position is called upon to produce internal documentation because of their product expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs User Acceptance Testing on releases of Health Data Archiver (HDA)
- Performs regression testing on releases of HDA
- Performs feature-level, or “ticket”, testing for bug fixes and new features
- Participates in work item creation and review to ensure that requirements are testable
- Recreates, troubleshoots, and reports bugs and issues found at any point in the development lifecycle
- Creates training materials and provides instruction on how to use the product properly
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- Working knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Expertise in web application operation, implementation, and architecture
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum based development environment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Clear, concise written and oral communication
- Ability to deeply focus on tasks and meet deadlines
