Director of Biopharma Partnerships
The Director of Biopharma Partnerships will lead the design and implementation of a coordinated and comprehensive strategy for securing revenue from partners in the BioPharmaceutical industry to support the fundraising goals of the organization and ultimately serve more patients.
The Director of Biopharma Partnerships in collaboration with other departments, will identify key areas for partnership in the pharmaceutical industry, build and manage relationships and lead efforts to drive revenue for the organization. The Director will be primarily externally facing creating and managing partnerships. They will also collaborate internally with stakeholders on our team to build partnerships that encourage growth of our programs and create dynamic impact for the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a balanced skill set including: assessing and growing a fundraising stream from healthcare partners; familiarity with the business model of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry; ability to communicate mission, growth, goals, and impact of the organization; and proven capability and desire to create productive partnerships and ask for gifts.
This position reports to VP of Development and will collaborate internally across different teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising/Business Development and Activation
Design, implement, and manage a proactive development plan focused on establishing, expanding and enhancing corporate pharmaceutical and biotechnology partnerships by using established and generating new funding opportunities
- Renew and expand existing partnerships, and remain top of mind with all key pharmaceutical and biotech partners
- Develop new relationships and create new partnerships with like-minded pharmaceutical and biotech partners
- Build, adapt and deliver compelling presentations and programs according to the specific needs of both prospects and Family Reach
- Maintain the highest level of communication and cooperation while building long-term relationships with partners, Family Reach employees and patient/families
- Enact grant and sponsorship activation, actively collaborating with the programs, communications, operations and development teams at Family Reach
- Actively use salesforce.com to document and track opportunities and progress against plan
Thought Development
- Serve as an internal resource and identify opportunities to maximize Family Reach mission awareness in the oncology community
- Continuously learn relevant information regarding the financial burden of cancer and how key players in healthcare are positioning relevant research, interventions and programs, and share critical information with team members
- Standardize best practices in advocacy relations
- Perform other duties or special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years demonstrated successful pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprise level business development/ account management experience
- Strong knowledge of the pharma/biotech advocacy, marketing, and product lifecycle
- Familiarity with not-for-profit associations and alliances in the cancer space required
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue generation plans
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships within all organizational levels
- Significant strategic planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate and manage account programs and strategies
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and marketing skills
- Must be comfortable working with key stakeholders (board members, volunteers, internal leaders, external senior corporate executives, sponsors, and patients )

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Family Reach offers an attractive benefits package, including, but not limited to, an annual performance bonus, medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, and generous vacation and leave policies.
