Family Reach is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our growing team in our Boston office. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Operations & Chief of Staff, this person will serve as the go-to internal Human Resources staff member. The HR Manager will interface regularly with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO). As a human resources generalist, this role will oversee full-cycle talent management and organizational development, including: talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, organizational culture, employee engagement and retention, and diversity and inclusion.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, and be willing to improve existing and develop new processes.
Responsibilities include:
HR Administration

Assume all human resource administration activities for the organization

Regularly interface with our PEO to understand legal requirements related to HR,
reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance

Review existing HR policies and procedures and identify needs for revisions and new
policy development

Collaborate with the Sr. Vice President of Operations & Chief of Staff to manage the
annual compensation review process to provide incentives and rewards for effective
performance

Participate in (and eventually run) quarterly meetings with the HR/Compensation
Committee, which is made up of various Board members

Serve as the point person for all staff regarding HR matters
-
Setup all new hires in the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
and manage employees’ personnel files

Maintain and update the organization chart
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Identify and create recruitment plans based on organizational strategies and talent
acquisition needs

Collaborate with the hiring manager to facilitate the interview and hiring process, as
well as to review and support creation of onboarding plans for all new hires

Utilize TriNet Hire applicant tracking system to manage the posting, recruiting, and
communication of jobs and candidates

Create and maintain job descriptions

Oversee and support hiring supervisors to effectively onboard new hires
Performance Management

Manage the performance management process, ensuring it is consistent and effective

Identify and implement a new cloud-based solution to streamline the annual
performance review
Learning & Development

Identify ways to increase access to learning programs, including arranging trainings on
topics such as: management, coaching, feedback, performance evaluation, change
management, and facilitation skills

Regularly review and update organizational core competencies
Organizational Culture

Champion and nurture a vibrant and collaborative organizational culture

Coordinate team meetings and retreats, as well as ensure team-building strategy
(recognition systems, celebrations, etc.) is in place and executed well

Lead the annual culture survey and evaluation, analyzing the survey results and
reporting back to the team

Implement a diversity & inclusion (D&I) initiative into the Family Reach culture
beginning with a committee comprised of various staff members
Position Qualifications

Undergraduate degree required
-
5-10 years of professional human resources experience
-
Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization

SHRM Certification a plus

Non-profit experience a plus

Strong communication, analytical, and customer-service skills

Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines
