An integral part of the dynamic Development team, the Development Coordinator plays a central role in providing support and ensuring efficiencies across all Development initiatives and activities, including, but not limited to donor relations, special events, peer-to-peer fundraising, and development operations

 

Responsibilities include:

 

Development Operational Support

      Provide support to all Development team members to ensure efficiencies and departmental success:

o   Assist in major mailings

o   Oversee and maintain effective gift processing procedures, including both recording donations and processing weekly acknowledgments

o   Assist with entering and maintaining all Contact information in Salesforce

o   Assist with entering and maintaining all Activities information in Salesforce

o   Work with department members to support fundraising needs such as pipeline management

o   Assist with generation of Development reports

o   Participate in all development-related Salesforce conversations, helping to outline solutions to support the Development team

 

General Development Support

      Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities for all targets in collaboration with development team members, including mailings, emails, reporting, etc.

      Prepare donor invoices and manage the collections process

      In coordination with development team, provide support for all activities for the ambassador programs, including but not limited to: Women’s council, Emerging Leaders Society, Family Council, etc. This could include all meeting preparation, communication, etc.

o   Maintain accurate and up-to-date lists of Councils and volunteer groups. 

 

Event Support

      Event Guest Management Services:

o   Managing guest RSVP's and event invitations

o   Facilitating guest touch points and concierge emails

      Pre-Event

o   Creation of back-end event pages for ticket sales and registration

o   Support and create systems with Senior Events Manager to track event supplies. Pre-event organization and supplies packing

      During Event

o   Working knowledge of guest registration.  Ability to facilitate training for volunteers and staff.

o   Manage the donation card process at fundraising events, including training volunteers the day-of, collecting and tallying amounts raised, and processing all credit card transactions.

      Post-Event

o   Thank you notes for donors, vendors, event speakers, etc. 

o   Facilitating hand-written Thank You from Family Reach leadership

o   Recording in Salesforce of guest invitations and attendees. 

Peer-to-Peer Event Support

      Assist with event logistics, planning and execution

      Assist with fundraising page creation and fundraising platform management

      Send packages to ambassadors (RA)

      General event support as needed

 

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Position Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role in non-profit development or events
  • Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team Player, with a thirst to learn and grow
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
