Family Reach is seeking a LiFT Network Director to oversee the strategic growth and expansion of a national non-profit network united around a shared mission to eLiminate Financial Toxicity (LiFT) for patients and families nationwide. This newly created leadership role will be the external face of the program, leading both fundraising / recruitment efforts and day-to-day management of the LiFT Network. Network membership includes a Community level which aims to establish shared best practices and tools for a louder collective voice on cancer-related financial toxicity. The Network also includes revenue-generating levels (Premium and Platinum) through which member non-profits leverage Family Reach’s program delivery system to provide financial programs to their constituents. The Director will oversee all aspects of the program, from membership to fundraising to program development, having the ability to meet the needs of Network members while also driving strategic program goals forward. He/she possesses stellar consensus-building skills with both internal and external constituents.
The Network itself will function as an independent business within Family Reach’s organizational structure and program delivery. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of hands-on management experience leading an organization or department with full managerial oversight, P&L responsibility and proven success in both strategy and delivery. Proven financial acumen, comfort and success as a fundraiser, along with a history of developing strong working relationships with multiple constituencies will be essential to this position’s success.
Responsibilities:
External Relations / Development
● Manage the continued development of a pipeline of network targets through ongoing research and networking within the cancer community
● Recruit new Network members at all membership levels, with the intent of moving Community members up to Premium and Platinum level
● Meet and exceed annual Network membership and revenue goals
● Identify increased revenue opportunities for the Network, working diligently to both capitalize on new opportunities and sustain projected Network growth
● Oversee all team activities related to ongoing management of the Network
● Plan and organize annual meeting for Network members which will include industry updates, sharing of best-practices in nonprofit program and development, guest speakers and networking
● Identify and create opportunities for additional Network events and touch points as needed to meet the expansion goals of the program
● Represent Family Reach and the Network at external meetings in efforts to meet and identify other nonprofits and continuing establishing FR and the Network as the leading voice in the space
● Partner with development team on the maintenance and upkeep of grant materials that support fundraising to sustain the program itself
Program Management
● Maintain program budget, partnering with Finance team on tracking spending and allocation of staff time dedicated to the network
● Make suggestions for cost savings as appropriate
● Partner with the Operations team on the continued development of a customized Salesforce app to meet the communications and program needs of members
● Establish Network evaluation plan and partner with appropriate internal stakeholders to measure and report on the success of the Network
● Ensure Premium and Platinum Network members receive up-to-date reporting on their financial assistance program budget
● Until a dedicated marketer is hired, partner with the Marketing/Communications team to meet the communications needs of the Network and the contracted marketing deliverables for members
People Management
● Supervise the Affiliate Program Team including an Affiliate Manager responsible for account management and contract fulfillment
● Identify and hire additional cross-functional Network team members as the program expands including an Affiliate Marketing Manager, a Salesforce Administrator, an Online Community Manager and more
● Ensure that the Network’s management team maintains the highest level of communication and cooperation with members and pipeline targets within the cancer community
Qualifications:
● Minimum 5+ years demonstrated successful fundraising experience required
● Previous management experience required
● Familiarity with the cancer space and other nonprofit players a plus
● Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue generation plans
● Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills and political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships within all organizational levels
● Significant strategic planning experience and ability to conceive, design, implement, evaluate and manage account programs and strategies
● Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and marketing skills
● Previous experience with Salesforce or similar donor CRM preferred
● Position also requires some travel
