The Partnerships Manager is an external fundraiser who proactively develops and manages a portfolio of institutional donors, with a focus on corporate partners. Our current corporate portfolio consists of organizations spanning a variety of dynamic sectors including pharmaceutical, biotech, retail, food and more. As awareness for the financial burden of cancer and the impact it has on millions of families increases, corporate engagement with Family Reach’s mission is evolving rapidly. There is tremendous opportunity within this position to grow our portfolio and expand our reach. The ideal candidate has the capability to listen and understand the unique goals and priorities of prospects/partners and translate to mutually beneficial partnership opportunities – including cause marketing, event sponsorship, mission funding and more.

 

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, as a member of the Development team, she/he will be responsible for stewarding and expanding the organization’s network of corporate donors while also overseeing grant writing and contractual fulfillment for institutional partners. The ideal candidate is an experienced, enthusiastic sales or fundraising professional who is strategic, creative and results-driven.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Internal Development Management

      Participate in the Family Reach grant writing process, writing and maintaining an active library of grant materials for Family Reach core programs

      Maintain database of corporate grant portals including funding priorities, open and close dates, and lead grant writing and submission process

      Partner with the Director of Partnerships, and another Partnership Manager, on build-out of inventory of assets for the development team

 

Fundraising / Business Development

      Lead day-today management and stewardship of all existing corporate partnerships

      Leads corporate sponsor recruitment for signature Family Reach fundraising events like Cooking Live!

      Track corporate development prospect pipeline and partner cultivation activities through Salesforce

      Prepare, write and edit pitches, grants, proposals and talking points to support corporate fundraising strategies and other development priorities as assigned

 Activation

      Ensure all contractual obligations are met for corporate partners and sponsors

      Collaborate with Marketing team on creation and activation of partner contract obligations including social media, email and other digital campaign opportunities

      Collaborate with Development and Events team on activation of sponsor benefits at events

      Plan and host volunteer activities to engage corporate partner employees and proactively offer employee engagement to partners

      Ensure accurate and up-to-date representation of corporate partnerships in all organization-wide development efforts including annual report, website, etc.

      Manage, along with the Senior Manager of Donor Relations, the Impact Reporting editorial process for corporate partners

      Occasional travel with Director of Partnerships and CEO to participate in pitching and cultivation of partners and prospects

 

Position Requirements:

      The ability to represent Family Reach externally with senior level executives from corporate partners

      Superior writing, oral communication and interpersonal skills

      Previous fundraising / sales experience. Experience in a corporate setting a plus

      Previous account management experience required

      Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

      Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus

      Must be detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills

      Undergraduate degree required
