POSITION OVERVIEW
From the moment of diagnosis, race, ethnicity, income level, zip code, and language create financial and clinical barriers to cancer care. These factors should not define a patient’s chance of survival, but they do. The Major Gifts Officer helps fundraise critical dollars to expand access to Family Reach’s Financial Resource Center—supporting people with cancer with essential needs like food, housing, utilities, and transportation.
The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will lead the design and execution of a comprehensive major gifts strategy that drives significant philanthropic revenue and deepens long-term relationships with high-capacity individual donors in support of Family Reach’s mission and Financial Resource Center.
The Major Gifts Officer, in close collaboration with the CEO, VP of Programs, Sr. Director of Operations, Board members, and partners, will, develop, grow and manage a portfolio of major gift donors, secure multi-year support, and help ensure major philanthropy is a predictable and scalable revenue stream for Family Reach.
The ideal candidate will have a balanced skill set including frontline fundraising, donor strategy development, and relationship management. This position requires demonstrated experience in major gift solicitation, stewardship, and developing and managing a pipeline.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Operations and has no direct reports.
