The target’s business focuses on high value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.

Job Description:

We are seeking a new Business IT Application Support Specialist. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting critical business software used by users. This includes running maintenance, enhancing applications and identifying bugs.  This also include helping to synchronize evolving business needs with technology solutions and capabilities. These activities can be done remotely for the most part.  You will also provide on-site support to our domestic plants as needed. You will be responsible for handling initial incident and service requests for the IT department, and escalating requests when needed. You will facilitate the handling of outsourced tickets with our IT partners. You will support the organization’s users by performing troubleshooting techniques; maintaining services, applications; and by procuring, configuring, and maintaining software assets. You will maintain clear and organized documentation on IT processes and procedures, incident resolutions, applications, and services. You must be proficient, organized, and passionate about learning new technologies and services. You must be an excellent communicator and be able to handle stressful situations. This role will require some travel.

Duties include:

  • Logging all IT solutions that the company is using and providing seamless support as tasks arise.
  • Handle request for guidance or configuration of applications.
  • Facilitate, monitor, and manage AMS vendor support.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting problems with existing applications.
  • Test and rollout required updates as needed so the system is constantly working with the latest version for usability and security.
  • Schedule system upgrades to minimize the potential downtime of applications.
  • Help adopt new applications by first installing, configuring and then testing the solution before it is rolled out in a production environment.
  • Maintain application test environments.
  • Create reports on project status, including development time lines and identifying potential problems that may cause delays in completion.
  • Communicate with internal customers to clarify requirements and ensure satisfaction with results.
  • Help synchronize business needs with technology solutions and capabilities by making recommendations.
  • Prepare proposals for new software development projects.
  • Support software migration and integration projects as needed.
  • Develop training documentation and videos.
  • Set up and maintain users and roles in applications.
  • Handle Master Data Management requirements as needed.
  • Evaluate applications for security risks.
  • Build out and maintain the application knowledgebase in the ticketing system.
  • Provide onsite infrastructure support as needed.

JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2-4 years prior IT Application Support experience or similar IT role
  • 2-4 years prior expereince working for manufacturing companies
  • 2-4 years prior proven hands on SDLC experence
  • Proven hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving application technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills; English
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Oustanding customer service skills
  • Ability to travel

PREFERRED

  • Experience with Infor M3, Salesforce, and/or Optiva
  • Experence migrating applications
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft IIS
  • Process improvement certification like Lean or Six Sigma
  • Change management certification like Agile
