The ISB Corporate Pastry Chef will support the ISB Sales Team within our Gourmet Channel and report into marketing. The position is to support the ISB sales team, contributing to the sales growth of the channel, further developing customer relationships and to assist in positioning ourselves as an industry expert in décor and ingredients..

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for developing concepts and innovation for ISB customers for all core Sweet category items of the business. Example: core celebration cakes, custom cakes, seasonal and dessert cake offerings, brownies, cookies, donuts, and pies using Irca products.
To be relevant within the Sweet Bakery category by understanding trends, insights, and emerging social media concepts.
Understanding instore bakery expectations, talent level at retail and to simplify processes for success, as well as cost expectations to assist in the close of a sale.
Understands the industry and our competition.
Teaching and training cake decorating, and product uses for all Irca Group products.

To include ISB Celebration core and custom cakes, merchandising and displays for ISB.
Ability to teach and train at all levels from a new associate/beginner to highly skilled associate if it is a customer, broker, or fellow team member. Reinforcing the customers programs and strategy.
Ability to create handling sheets or build sheets for customers per their required format using their templates.
Training and troubleshooting via video live when needed to support as needed.

Assist sales team with account specific food shows and large account presentations. Working as a team member, to assist the sales teams with account goals and targets.
Always practicing food safety and the knowledge of how to work with bakery equipment at retail and small manufacturers.
Responds to customer complaints by working with the customer to troubleshoot any issues that may arise with products, communicate any product concerns to the Sales team.
Demonstrates the company’s core values and represents the company in the very best way.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

· 5+ years’ experience as a cake decorator using cake components

· Strong creative portfolio

Strong communication and presentation skills with internal and external teams to include customers, in-person and virtual

· Ability to organize autonomously within the assigned territory

· 50-60% annual domestic travel availability & flexibility for off hour work

· Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds
