About Us:

At McCarton Foundation, we believe in the incredible ability that exists within every child who has developmental disabilities, and that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. For over two decades, we have been dedicated to transforming the lives of thousands of children from around the globe through our integrated treatment programs.

Our story began when Dr. Cecelia McCarton, an internationally leading researcher and professor of developmental pediatrics at Albert Einstein Medical College, saw a need for a center that would set a new standard in clinical excellence for diagnosing and treating children with learning differences. In 1998, the McCarton Center for Developmental Pediatrics opened, offering a fully integrated treatment model that brought together developmental pediatricians, ABA therapists, speech and language pathologists, and occupational therapists under one roof. This approach was the first of its kind and set the foundation for our other world-class educational programs, including the McCarton School (now Keswell) and Children’s Academy, which have helped thousands of children with autism and speech and language delays.

In 2018, inspired by the success of our private programs and driven by the need for services in low-income communities, we launched our first public program, McCarton Center Bronx. Here, our team of world-class teachers and therapists utilize the McCarton Integrated Model, which combines speech and language therapy, fine and gross motor therapy, sensory integration therapy, socialization with peers, developmental play skills, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. Since we opened, we have grown to be one of the largest and most respected early intervention centers in New York City, having provided educational and therapeutic services to more than 1,500 children in need.

Our commitment to changing the course of lives continues to drive us forward, and we’re just getting started. If you’re passionate about our mission and want to be a part of an exceptional team, we invite you to join us.
