Job Description:

Reporting to the Speech Supervisor, the Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing services to children ages 2 - 3 years old while following the goals and regulations set forth by the Bureau of Early Intervention (BEI), and the Bureau of Childcare (BCC). This role requires communication with a dedicated team of administrative professionals, families, and collaboration with fellow therapists.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • New York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience in autism and early childhood desired

  • Adaptable in a new environment

     

Salary:

$72,500 - $80,000

Schedule:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

This is a full-time, 12-month position

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child
  • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit
  • Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation
  • Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in children
  • Review physician's referral and children's medical records to help determine diagnosis and occupational therapy treatment required
  • Provide direct care treatment to children ages 2 - 3

     

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to work closely with children between the ages of 2 - 3 years old
  • Comfortable communicating with family or caregivers of children
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
  • US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
