Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description:

Reporting to the Speech Supervisor, the Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing services to children ages 2 - 3 years old while following the goals and regulations set forth by the Bureau of Early Intervention (BEI), and the Bureau of Childcare (BCC). This role requires communication with a dedicated team of administrative professionals, families, and collaboration with fellow therapists.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
New York State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Previous experience in autism and early childhood desired
Adaptable in a new environment

Salary:

$72,500 - $80,000

Schedule:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

This is a full-time, 12-month position

Responsibilities and Duties:

Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
Collaborate with related services in providing individualized programming for each child
Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit
Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation
Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in children
Review physician's referral and children's medical records to help determine diagnosis and occupational therapy treatment required
Provide direct care treatment to children ages 2 - 3

Desired Skills & Experience:

Ability to work closely with children between the ages of 2 - 3 years old
Comfortable communicating with family or caregivers of children
Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
