Job Description:

 

Reporting to the Clinical Fellow (CF) Supervisor, the Speech Clinical Fellow will be responsible for providing services to children aged 2 - 3 years old while working alongside Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, ABA Therapists, and a team of dedicated professionals in this dynamic non-profit organization.

 

We provide recent Speech-Language Pathology graduates with a fun and exciting opportunity to complete their Clinical Fellowship, in our Early Intervention program at our Center. The support our Clinical Fellowship Program provides follows all of ASHA and New York State requirements for obtaining the Certificate of Clinical Competence and professional New York State license.

 

The McCarton Clinical Fellowship Program will provide individualized support to help you gain experience, independence, and confidence as a new professional. Your CF Supervisor will support you in understanding procedures and required paperwork, provide insight to different therapy skills and techniques, and address site-related concerns.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

 

  • Previous experience in autism and early childhood desired

 

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

 

  • Ability to work closely with children between the ages of 2 - 3 years old

 

  • Adaptable in a new environment

 

  • Comfortable communicating with families or caregivers of children

 

Salary:

 

Monolingual: $55,000 - $62,500

 

Bilingual: $60,000 - $67,500

 

Schedule:

 

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

 

The schedules of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday are also available. With these two schedules, an extra 5 hours are required for administrative duties such as writing progress reports and session notes. These 5 hours can be on-site and/or remote.

 

This is a full-time, 12-month position

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Complete NYS regulation and ASHA requirements of supervised experience

 

  • Provide speech and language services to children ages 2 - 3

 

  • Utilize therapeutic devices and other means to maintain or restore maximum speech and language capabilities
