HR Generalist

Location: This opportunity is an in-person position at our headquarters in the Bronx in the West Farms neighborhood.
JOB SUMMARY
As the HR Generalist, you'll provide integral support to our Director of Personnel and Operations and the Human Resources team as a whole. You’ll work across every team to support individuals at various moments during their employment journey, from recruitment to retirement, and ensure that all record keeping is kept up to the highest standard, through careful entry and Quality Assurance.
Although McCarton Foundation has been around for almost two decades, our center in the Bronx is new. So, you’ll help us continue to build our team as well
You'll help support the team through…
● Building recruitment strategies and campaigns to help us grow
● Managing our HRIS, recordkeeping, reporting, and people analytics
● Onboarding new employees, I9 filing, new hire paperwork, benefits onboarding, etc.
● Offboarding employees, administering COBRA, supporting exit interviews, unemployment, and thoughtful farewells
● Processing the employee change procedure, ensuring appropriate approvals, documentation, internal communications, as well as system changes
● Serving as the main point of contact for employee support and triaging the HR email handle
Desired Qualifications…
● 2+ years of relevant HR experience
● Experience in recruitment
● Experience with a wide variety of employee relations scenarios
● Advanced skills with HRIS, both for recordkeeping and people analytics
● Knowledge of employment law and compliance
● Strong Excel and reporting abilities
● Strong ability to create aesthetic and effective Keynotes/Powerpoints for training purposes

● SHRM or HRCI Certification

Over the past two decades McCarton Foundation has transformed the lives of thousands of children from around the globe through the McCarton Center for Developmental Pediatrics, the McCarton School for children with autism, the Children’s Academy for children with speech and language learning delays, and our newest program, McCarton Center Bronx. We utilize the McCarton Integrated Model, which combines speech and language therapy, fine and gross motor therapy, sensory integration therapy, socialization with peers, developmental play skills and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy.
