About us

The McCarton Foundation is a non-profit organization on a 20-year mission to bring exceptional treatment and services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. We believe in the ability that exists within every child and that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. In 2018 the McCarton Foundation opened their newest Bronx Center - an Early Intervention agency providing center-based and home-based services in ABA, Speech and Occupational Therapies to young children at no cost to families. 

This fall the McCarton Bronx Center is continuing to provide exceptional services to children through our Early Intervention program with approval by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Our organization remains committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our team, children, and families that we serve through daily wellness checks, health screenings, and our adaptable telework program.

Job Description

Reporting to the HR Generalist, the Human Resources Information Systems Assistant will provide administrative HR and system support by ensuring SalesForce and information systems are fed with accurate and reliable information, and digital and physical files are 100% in compliance with McCarton policies and regulations. This a great opportunity to gain experience in Salesforce, a cloud-based CRM (customer relationship management) platform. Salesforce is cited as one of the fastest-growing industries by the IDC and most promising jobs by LinkedIn and Forbes. Currently, the position is split between remote and in-person at our McCarton Center Bronx facility. 

Key Responsibilities

  •     Oversees onboarding of new personnel  by processing new hire paperwork
  •     Perform data entry for HR transactions
  •     Perform internal audits to provide quality assurance with personnel files
  •     Communicate with new hires on paperwork and onboarding materials
  •     Assist HR team as needed
  •     Assist with Orientation and Training of new hires
  •     Provide support to employees on using HR Platform and other technologies


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  •     Knowledge of Salesforce
  •     1 year of HR or HRIS experience
  •     Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Documents, HRIS Software
  •     Strong administrative and organizational skills
  •     Ability to take initiative and complete assignments and prioritize responsibilities
  •     Professional written and verbal communication skills to all levels of the organization
  •     Ability to act with integrity and handle with discretion access to confidential information 
  •     Ability to focus on repetitive work with high attention to detail and accuracy


      As with all positions at the McCarton Bronx Center, all employees are required to pass a health and background check as mandated by the Bureaus of Child Care and Early Intervention. This includes a health form documenting vaccinations and background checks through the Department of Investigation and the Central Clearance Unit.
