The McCarton Foundation is a non-profit organization on a mission to bring exceptional treatment and services to children with autism. We believe in the ability that exists within every child who has autism, and that all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential. Over the past two decades we’ve transformed the lives of thousands of children from around the globe through the McCarton Center for Developmental Pediatrics, the McCarton School for children with autism, and the Children’s Academy for children with speech and language learning delays.

We utilize the McCarton Integrated Model, which combines speech and language therapy, fine and gross motor therapy, sensory integration therapy, socialization with peers, developmental play skills and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy.

Now we're launching our new early intervention center in the Bronx providing services for infants and toddlers diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities in our beautiful new facility in the West Farms area. We are excited to be able to bring our exceptional method of treatment to children and families in our city’s most underserved communities.

We are currently seeking Occupational Therapists to provide direct Early Intervention services to children from Birth to 3 years of age in a home setting. Interested individuals should have a strong background in working with young children and have knowledge of the evaluation and treatment of infants and toddlers.

Home-based Occupational Therapists will:
Provide direct care treatment to children; ages Birth - 3
Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records to help determine diagnosis and occupational therapy treatment required. Evaluate, care for and direct treatment for patients.
Plan, prepare and perform individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve and/or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and/or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
Identify and document goals, anticipated progress and plans for re-evaluation.
Evaluate effectiveness of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
Collaborate with other service providers to secure needed services for families.
Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Desired Skills & Experience:
NY State licensed
DOH Approval preferred but not required
Preferably with experience working in Early Intervention
Can provide ongoing care services, evaluation or both.
Bilingual is a plus
US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US.
