This a full-time, full-day, 12-month position. Full health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k benefits are provided.

Responsibilities and Duties of Early Intervention Classroom Teachers:

  • Implement programs based on the science of applied behavior analysis, speech and language pathology, and occupational therapy

  • Conduct intake and ongoing assessments of students

  • Collect data on child’s progress, behaviors, and performance

  • Conduct group activities and group instruction

  • Participate in implementation of behavior intervention plans

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

  • Supervise/train teaching assistants, student teachers, and interns

  • Conduct daily/weekly observations for aids, student teachers, and interns

  • Participate in staff meetings and staff training sessions

  • Complete progress report for parent-teacher meetings



Qualifications,Skills, and/or Experience of Candidates for the Classroom teacher:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

  • New York State Certified Special Education Teacher (Birth-2nd Grade certified) a plus

  • Relevant ABA Experience a big plus

  • Certified Teacher for Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) a plus

  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Early Intervention (EI) a plus

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
