Quickpass Cybersecurity (“CyberQP”) is a rapidly growing venture backed Software as a Service (SAAS) provider of Helpdesk Security Automation and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for the Managed IT Services (MSP) industry. MSPs in 13 countries depend on CyberQP to deliver its critical solutions. CyberQP offers two products: Q Desk and Q Guard. Q Desk empowers help desks by minimizing costly password reset tickets, providing technicians with tools to resolve tickets faster and eliminating social engineering attacks. Meanwhile, Q Guard proactively secures MSP sensitive privileged accounts from both external and internal threats and saves time and money with automation. CyberQP HQ is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
We are seeking a dynamic Product Owner who combines the strategic mindset of product ownership with hands-on product design skills to deliver outstanding user-centric solutions. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and design, ensuring that the product vision aligns with user needs, stakeholder goals, and technical feasibility.
The ideal candidate thrives in cross-functional teams, translating business priorities into actionable user stories while influencing design decisions with wireframes, prototypes, and design systems. This position is a remote role and reports to the COO.
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership
- Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with the product roadmap.
- Translate business goals into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define success metrics for product features.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, product demos and retrospectives with development teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clarifying requirements and ensuring team alignment on deliverables.
Product Design Expertise
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and validate solutions.
- Leverage user research, data analytics, and usability testing to inform and refine design decisions.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure a cohesive and intuitive user experience.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of user personas, needs, and pain points.
- Ensure design solutions are scalable, accessible, and aligned with brand standards.
Collaboration and Strategy
- Partner with product managers to align backlog priorities with the broader product roadmap.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility of design concepts, release management and acceptance testing.
- Work alongside marketing and customer support teams to ensure product success in the market.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design and ownership.
Requirements:
Required
- Proven experience in a Product Owner role or similar position.
- Demonstrated skills in product design, including proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and workflows (Scrum, Kanban, etc).
- Ability to write clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Experience conducting and applying insights from user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Experience working for a high performing / Fast paced startup company
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent experience
- Experience working in SaaS, Cybersecurity, Identity Security, mobile applications and web-based platforms
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
