Who we are looking for:
The Senior Engineer, CloudOps will be responsible for technical aspects related to 1) the cloud installation and troubleshooting and 2) onboarding and troubleshooting of edge applications in the operators’ software stack. Reporting to the VP Engineering, you will work with customers of MobiledgeX and telcos to ensure flawless operation of edge services. In your role, you will be responsible for handling incidents and problems faced by MobiledgeX customers, including assurance of SLAs, integration with the telcos’ TMNs systems for proper handling of platforms’ malfunctioning.

What you will do:
Managing MobiledgeX infrastructure services, responsibilities including, but not limited to, deployment, operation, and troubleshooting
Maintain MobiledgeX services to meet service-level-agreements (SLAs) and/or service-level-objective (SLOs) by measuring and monitoring availability, performance, and overall system health
Develop runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each service and application to ensure DevOps and SRE teams can detect incidents or issues before customers are impacted and act quickly to restore impacted services.
Define practices and procedures around postmortems and root cause analysis to ensure service quality and maintainability KPIs are improving and downtime and service interruption are negligible.
Supporting/Managing systems at scale (10s of thousands to 100s of thousands of instances)
System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains
Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices for cloud security
Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Assurance System and procedures
Zero downtime deployments and a high availability mindset
What you need:
5+ years of experience in the design, implementation, maintenance and management of cloud infrastructure (Linux/Docker/Kubernetes/Microservices)
Hands on experience in operating IT infrastructure and IP networking (networks, servers, virtualization, containerization)
Hands-on experience using a broad range of IaaS Technologies including Openstack, VMware .
Experience solving problems in a live production environment.
Understanding of cloud security best practices
Well versed in container technologies and networking
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Exposure to IaaC and configuration management - Ansible and Chef
Working knowledge in Public Clouds like GCP & Azure.
Skilled in change management and agile methods
Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, shell scripts) is a bonus.
