Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Business Development Analyst to conduct modeling, field testing and optimizing the strategic blueprint for building a predictable, repeatable and scalable business. This will include a continuous and comprehensive analysis and understanding of the addressable market and its trends, changing conditions, competitive threats, opportunities and compelling value proposition to guide prioritization of focus areas for customer and strategic partner acquisition.
A significant portion of the role will be outward facing alongside business category teams, with an emphasis on thoughtfully drilling down past surface descriptions of wants and needs to get to root characteristics. The role will require development of complex strategic and commercial propositions across complex stakeholder structures that capture cause, effect, desirable solutions and the value of what MobiledgeX can deliver. Findings will be clustered into themes and prioritized based on various, ideally quantified impacts to the business, and they will be leveraged in close collaboration with Product, Engineering and Marketing to influence functional priorities.
Given the nascent stages of the edge computing landscape where MobiledgeX operates, it is crucial to move fast and execute with a mature understanding of the adjacent domains of cloud, infrastructure, operators, etc. This role will heavily inform the definition and shape of use cases and value propositions tailored towards specific audiences and strategic pursuits. The ideal individual for this role is a creative and resourceful self-starter who can operate in a rapidly evolving environment without heavy-handed management and guidance.
This role will also own structuring and evolving P&L and KPI reporting for various segments of the business.
What you will do:
Develop commercial and strategic propositions, aimed at securing partners, customers and investors including iterative price modeling, revenue modeling and business forecasting for internal and external focus.
Leverage market and customer research to provide strategic insights and guidance to the company.
Building complex and detailed business cases for engaging global telecom operator partners, with subsequent field testing and optimizing.
Partner with Marketing, Sales, Client & Customer Services and Product teams to incorporate their general feedback and maintain their alignment with the revenue strategy.
Evangelizing and aligning within large organizations with complex stakeholder structures and cross-functional teams.
Construct and evolve P&L reports for various segments of the business.
Construct and maintain data-driven KPIs for tracking success with customers and partners.
Create and deliver impactful presentations that tell a story focused on quantitative and qualitative customer, market and analyst insights as well as the collective vision of the company.
Develop mastery of articulating and presenting the company vision for the product, go-to-market and overall business and vision, and develop mastery for addressing questions, objections and concerns while continuously refining MobiledgeX’s positioning based on evolving conditions.
Identify growth multiplier opportunities via strategic partnerships, partnership ecosystems and M&A targets.
What you need:
8+ years of strategy/analysis and outward facing exposure. MBA in Finance is a plus.
Prior understanding of the cloud/edge computing landscape and related ecosystem players.
Expertise in financial modeling and business case development.
Technical fluency is a plus: Be able to work with engineers to shape requirements and project their market impact.
Excellent writing and communication skills: you understand how to adjust your messaging based on the audience and know how to communicate clearly and concisely.
Strong ability to craft compelling narratives and value propositions into a presentation format.
