POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Palisades is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to join its growing and dynamic team.

The Specialist’s primary job responsibility will be to support the Asset Management Team in the oversight and management of residential whole loans and real estate owned properties.

This is a small team, and any candidate must be a team-player, able and willing to work on cross-over projects, able to pick up complex concepts and communicate effectively to both internal and external constituents. The position will allow the candidate to work collaboratively across the Company’s cross-functional teams (Data Research & Reporting, Trading & Analytics, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Transaction Management, and Collateral Management) and to learn from the firm’s industry leading professionals. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, a self-starter, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work under time sensitive deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  • Review and analyze loss mitigation deals in coordination with investor mandates to maximize portfolio returns.
  • Enhance portfolio performance through regular servicer oversight and hands-on default management.
  • Process construction draw, extension, and payoff requests with specialty servicers and originator counterparties.
  • Process imports into as well as learn and maintain proprietary mortgage database.
  • Create and aggregate reporting sets to facilitate internal and external visibility into portfolio performance.
  • Follow policies and procedures and complete administrative tasks correctly and in a timely manner.

 

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.
  • Experience: 1+ years’ experience in the Mortgage Industry is preferred.
  • Technical skills: Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
    • Familiarity with MySQL, SQL Server, or MS Access is a plus.
  • Must excel in a fast-paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently.
