Who You Are
You are a software engineer who enjoys the challenge of ensuring the success and delight of customers when using Automox’s products. You boast 3-5 years’ experience in a technical, customer-facing position focused on bug triage and resolution. You are proud of your logical approach to problem solving and have a passion for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a high-paced, customer-facing environment.
What You Will Do
Contribute to continual improvement through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation
Extend, enhance, and maintain the core product software and databases
Reproduce customer issues in-house to quickly and efficiently resolve the issue.
Triage and resolve bugs reported by Tier 1-3 Support Engineers
Act as Tier 4 technical support - handle escalations from Support Engineers and join conversations/calls with our customers as needed
About You
Previous work experience in technical customer support
Core aptitude in Windows, MacOS or Linux Operating System (Familiarity with all is a plus)
Proven software development experience using PHP
Experience with GoLang is highly desired
Any frontend experience is a plus (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience with Docker is a plus
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
Work well in a tightly knit, cross functional team environment
Interest in learning new technologies and languages such as PHP, GoLang, etc
Enjoys occasionally working directly with customers to assist in triage and resolution of reported bugs
