Software Engineering Manager

You excel at building high performing engineering teams that deliver high quality, on-time software products. The ideal candidate will have experience in software engineering including software design, development, and lifecycle management. You are passionate about operational excellence and have the know-how to build an engineering team that delivers it. This is a full stack position, and a balance between frontend and backend technology leadership experience will be tremendously valuable.
What You Will Do
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a talented and growing team of engineers in all aspects of the design and delivery of our software platform. Your primary responsibilities will be to hire great people, mentor through regular feedback, and lead the team to consistently deliver, while also being able to dig in and solve hard technical problems and provide technical guidance as we grow to massive scale. To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for Agile software development, fostering a culture of collaboration, and possess a strong background in the SaaS space to help us foster constant growth and innovation. More specific responsibilities include:
As a Product Owner you will be expected to lead your teams to design and deliver software features with a sharp focus on quality and predictability.
Build, manage, coach, and grow engineering teams comprised of highly talented and motivated team members.
Be a partner in building a positive, highly supportive and collaborative culture focused on producing world class software solutions
Lead by example, bring people together, and build a strong sense of ownership and accountability on the teams

Qualified candidates must have a track record of successfully managing software features and releases from concept to new product introduction. Additional requirements include:
Experience developing and delivering scalable, full stack SaaS solutions
3+ years of progressive management experience leading 8 or more engineers of varying experience levels
Proficient across a highly diverse set of technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Golang etc)
Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to understand the technical details of the software your teams are working on. You should be able to assess risk, challenge estimates, identify dependencies and ultimately guide the team throughout the software engineering lifecycle
Proven leadership capabilities with matrixed teams and ability to drive issues to closure
Demonstrated passion for agile principles, values and continuous improvement of engineering processes
Strong believer and promoter of built-in quality, devops mindset and automation
