PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER
Location: Boulder Colorado
OVERVIEW
Automox is seeking an experienced product marketing leader to drive the Automox product messaging and positioning strategy.
Successful candidates will own product positioning, messaging, and pricing across all Automox go to market channels - Direct, OEM, and Partner Integrations. This role forms a critical bridge between the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams. You will develop and own all GTM aspects working cross-functionally with all teams internally to develop the appropriate product positioning, messaging, and pricing. You will also be the driving voice in creating compelling marketing content across a variety of media types from print, web, video, and social.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing enterprise security solutions.
THE FUN STUFF
Develop and evolve the Automox value proposition and outbound messaging structure.
Develop strategic insights based on market research, competitive analysis, understanding industry trends, and direct discussions with customers and prospects.
Maintain a clear understanding of our competitive landscape to identify a defensible market position that Automox can occupy.
Profile and staying abreast of our top 6 competitors.
Identify and summarize competitor financials, product/service trends, strategic priorities, and path-to-market strategies.
Analyze company financial statements and annual filings.
Create detailed customer and buyer personas.
Develop and own pricing strategies and GTM plans
Perform sales win/loss analysis.
Create marketing materials in the form of written content for blogs, white papers, product data sheets, and product and promotional video content
Create sales collateral in the form of product training, competitive kill sheets, sales playbooks, and assist with sales presentation strategy and development
Work in parallel with product management to understand product strategy and direction to better drive strategic marketing campaigns to properly position and sell our product
Represent Automox at industry events and tradeshows
Jointly work with marketing to assist our PR firm as necessary
Own the relationship with industry analysts
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
10+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience with strong security experience
Must thrive operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and competitive environment
A collaborative and team-oriented attitude that allows you to work effectively with product, sales, and other marketing team members globally
Strategic and analytical thinker who can readily assess the state of the current market landscape and drive the appropriate and differentiated GTM process
Demonstrated experience developing effective sales messaging content and presentations
Own competitive and market analysis
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
Intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability, and positive approach
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Technical degree strongly preferred
MBA preferred but not required
