You are a seasoned content marketer who is looking to drive the success of an early stage security product through the power of content marketing. You are imaginative, creative, a collaborative, self-starter with a passion for modern content marketing. You thrive on innovation, can move rapidly, and are confident in your skill sets. You love being part of an A+ marketing team and can communicate with product developers, engineers, and industry influencers to draw out compelling content for both top-of-funnel as well as mid-funnel sales stages.
In this role, you will report to the CMO and coordinate our content efforts across our website, blog, third-party sites, security industry communities like Spiceworks and Peerlyst, and internal workgroups. You will manage the identification, creation, and distribution of content such blog posts, videos, webinars, ebooks, infographics, and social posts. You’ll work with the product evangelists, product managers, and the web team to develop and manage our content plan. You'll be responsible for securing external and internal associates to create content and you'll oversee and manage implementation, budget, and reporting. As a Content Marketing Manager, you will also work with marketing campaign management to help define and deliver copy and content for campaigns, websites, and other marketing activities. This is an individual contributor role, however, you will be responsible for managing a team of contractors and promoting coordination and implementation across a collaborative, matrixed organization.
Your Day-to-Day
Develop and implement content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
Work with a cross-organizational team to develop against a master content calendar for the Marketing team
Serve as an editor, providing overall guidance and feedback on content created across the organization, ensuring that we exceed brand and voice expectations; proofread and check accuracy of articles and improve stories of pieces of interest for appeal.
Contribute as a writer when needed, creating new appealing content
Develop an external content contributor program
Optimize content according to modern SEO standards
Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
Ensure compliance with law (e.g., copyright and data protection)
Translate technical topics into content that clearly demonstrates engineering and business value.
Craft a variety of content types - web content, display ads, infographics, blogs, events graphics, case studies, videos, solution briefs, data sheets, emails and social posts.
Measure impact of content using analytics; recommend content types to support marketing efforts based on measurable data.
Work with product and engineering teams to build content that supports campaigns.
Stay up to date on industry trends to inform our content and campaigns

Experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Wordpress, HubSpot, HotJar, CrazyEgg, etc.
Qualifications
7+ years of demonstrated work experience as a content manager, writer, or editor
Practical experience with Google Docs, WordPress, and Microsoft Office
Basic familiarity with Marketing Automation Systems like HubSpot
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
Familiarity with social media
Excellent writing skills in English
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, or a relevant field
