What we are looking for:

We are seeking a Control System Engineer Level I for our Northern Nevada territory. 

Our clients are contractors or end users supporting a wide range of industries including water / wastewater, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, mining, aerospace, and more. We offer a number of products and services to these industries such as:

·         PLC / HMI

·         SCADA / Integration Software

·         Thermal & Process Instrumentation

·         Custom UL Control Panels

·         Industrial Field Services

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical skills:

·         Develop and manage project BOM’s.

·         Perform drawing review.

·         Write RFI’s and respond to technical submittal comments.

·         Demonstrate the ability to perform customer training in system operation and troubleshooting.

·         Generates maintainable & reliable PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions with best practices, e.g., AOI's, DFB's, Objects, Databases, etc.

·         Grasps new concepts with some guidance.

·         Owns parts of solutions and produces unique ideas for solutions.

·         Proficient in applying internal processes.

·         Recognizes and addresses familiar commissioning issues with some guidance.

·         Recognizes and solves unfamiliar issues for small systems with some guidance, e.g., Pump station or lift station.

·         Solves new or different problems with familiar platforms.

·         Understands & develops test documentation as required for all assigned projects. Loop test forms, ORT, CORT, and project specific materials

Soft Skills:

·         Acting as primary point of contact and trusted advisor to customers for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns.

·         Communicates with project owner and/or project team at an appropriate frequency and level of detail.

·         Effectively estimates time to complete personal tasks and keeps task priorities in mind.

·         Effectively works with other vendors/subcontractors/partners working on clients' projects.

·         Keeps customers informed with regular status updates consisting of relevant information at an appropriate level of detail.

·         Recognizes and appropriately communicates risk to project team and/or project manager as it relates to personal tasks.

·         Updates and clearly communicates availability to project teams and managers.

·         Uses project planning tools as a member of a team to keep track of development progress.

·         Actively Seeks feedback and review from peers for design, standards and familiar with best practice of SOP's developed while looking for improvements in existing processes.

·         Applies knowledge and skills to new platforms within area of expertise.

·         Clearly explains technical aspects of common control technologies or concepts.

·         Contributes to projects in development of BOM & Drawing Reviews.

Education/Credentials/Experience:

·         BS Degree in engineering discipline (5 or more years’ experience may qualify for substitution of degree requirement).

·         Completion of Aveva InTouch or other SCADA platform within two years of start date.

·         Completion of Control Expert Level I PLC Logic development within two years of start date.

·         Completion of RS Logix 5000 Level I PLC Logic development within two years of start date.
