What we are looking for:
A Control Systems Draftsman for our Reno, NV office. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to generate mechanical and electrical schematics from engineering documents for construction as well as other drawings that meet customer requirements and conform to industry standards.
Our clients are contractors or end users supporting a wide range of industries including water / wastewater, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, mining, aerospace, and more. We offer a number of products and services to these industries such as:
- PLC / HMI
- SCADA / Integration Software
- Thermal & Process Instrumentation
- Custom UL Control Panels
- Industrial Field Services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review contract documents, customer specifications and bill of material to then develop Electrical Diagrams, Mechanical drawings, Loop diagrams, Network and Process drawings for submittal and manufacturing.
- Work closely with engineering during design phase to ensure requirements of build are met.
- Uphold GTH processes and procedures as well as conformance to Quality Management System.
- Utilize software tools for logging time, monitoring budgeted hours and other as needed.
- May also include quality testing panels, device configuration and support for manufacturing and field engineers if needed.
- Comply with UL 508A/698A, NEMA, NEC (National Electric Code), NFPA, GTH and other regulatory standards as applicable.
- Assist Business Development team with estimating and preliminary design drawings.
- Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Hard skills:
Proficient with Eplan or AutoCAD Electric is required.
Proficient with Word and Excel as well as Windows 10/11 knowledge.
Must understand cloud-based file structures within Windows operating system to maintain drawing organization per company standards.
Understanding of industrial control systems and products.

Demonstrate initiative in obtaining solutions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:
- 3 years' experience and proficiency in using Eplan (preferred) or AutoCAD Electric.
- Degree and or certification in electrical systems, control theory, HVAC, or other relevant discipline.
- Basic knowledge of electrical concepts including AC and DC power circuits.
