JOB DESCRIPTION: This employee is responsible for the general care, daily cleaning, and minor maintenance of the buildings to which assigned. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

1. Cleaning/disinfecting restrooms, sinks, classrooms, windows, doors, floors, and common areas daily.

2. Removing trash and recycling from classrooms and common areas daily.

3. Making minor repairs to the plumbing and electrical systems and making other miscellaneous repairs as assigned.

4. Painting halls, classrooms, and other areas of the campus as needed.

5. Attending workshops/meetings as assigned.

6. Maintaining assigned equipment in proper working order.

7. Reporting needed information from which proper work orders might be prepared.

8. Assisting and maintaining a proper inventory of equipment, supplies, and other necessary items required to perform assigned duties.

9. Reporting problems encountered.

10. Working additional hours upon reasonable request.

11. Assembling furniture and equipment as needed.

12. Accepting and signing for deliveries made to the building when necessary.

13. Pressure washing buildings and concrete as assigned.

14. Setting up, cleaning, and breaking down lunch line and food trays/warmers daily.

15. Performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Functional literacy.

2. Good work record in previous jobs.

3. Ability to relate well to teachers, students, and the public.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Custodial experience.

2. Carpentry, painting, electrical, and/or plumbing skills. S - 17 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
