A Bartender at Bode Chattanooga reports to the Regional General Manager and plays a pivotal role in the care of our guests. They set the pattern for every guest to follow because they truly enjoy the Bode life and the city of Chattanooga. By creating a unique arrival experience, they set the stage for a memorable stay. With a keen discernment for individual and group needs alike, they are able to effectively address all inquiries and make expert recommendations. This multifaceted position is not the typical bartender role, and will have additional responsibilities such as assisting hotel guests and curating guest amenities, to name a few.
Prepares and serves exceptional beverages and food products adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for products and menu items.
Utilizes software systems to handle guest reservations, check-in/outs, room assignments, walk-ins, cancellations, and special requests.
Performs cashier duties including but not limited to; payment processing and cash handling
Maintains a clean and organized workspace and stocks market items.
Delivers exceptional service to Bode guests and acts as an ambassador of the brand by providing property orientation upon arrival.
Runs daily reports and coordinates pre-arrival guest requests and amenities.
Curates a unique Bode experience for the guest in every facet of their stay.
Handles guest challenges and requests by collaborating with other departments.
Provides unique and local recommendations, including but not limited to, hotel’s amenities, local market items, restaurant reservations, events and tours, and transportation and travel arrangements.
Participates in cross-training and assists other departments as necessary.

Passionate and knowledgeable of local community offerings
Quick learner and tech savvy with various computer and mobile-based systems
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Familiarity with Nashville including restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and current events
Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 25 Ibs
Able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
Education and Experience:
Experience: Ideal candidate would possess a minimum of 6 months in a customer service position in a hotel or comparable environment
Education: High School diploma required
Certification: Food Handlers and TIPS
