Prolacta is the pioneer in human milk-based nutritional products for premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Prolacta believes that there is no adequate replacement for human breast milk and, as such, we believe infant nutritional products should be human milk-based. As a privately held, scientifically driven company, committed to improving premature infant nutrition, we are using human milk to change the standard of care in the NICU. Prolacta operates and/or owns milk banks that provide the starting material for the products Prolacta sells.
Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the conduct of special analytical projects that Prolacta will undertake for understanding milk donor activity and other similar minded research activities that will involve the compilation, description and analysis collection of the relevant research subject data. Work with personnel from Milk Banking, R&D and other requisite departments to process and collect accurate data in a timely manner and assist Prolacta personnel with data collection, data storage, and data output.
· Obtain any needed support documentation for data, and data analysis.
· Prepare reports and memorandums.
· Prepare data files for statistical analysis.
· Complete formatting, reproduction and distribution of materials.
· Ability to accurately read entries in data forms and record accurately and timely information into study data records and other appropriate research data forms.
· Demonstrate organizational skills to efficiently and effectively provide data management support for multiple clinical trials and projects, providing accurate information in a timely manner.
· Have understanding of confidential information, how it is defined, and demonstrated skill in maintaining confidential status of such information.
· Ability to prioritize workload to meet demands of study deadlines.
· Ability to understand that work may be delegated by more than one person, depending on the individual needs of the research study and to carry out job responsibilities as assigned in a timely manner.
· Computer skills using PC platform computers with proficiency in Excel, Word, statistical programs, to enter data and generate correspondence accurately.
· Prepare project progress reports.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with research data collection and assist with the set-up of the relevant data bases
Provide basic descriptive and inferential analyses as instructed by relevant Prolacta personnel
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Proficiency with statistical programs, e.g. SAS or Stata
This position has no supervisory responsibilities of individuals.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Biological Life Science with some graduate level training in statistical methods (e.g. working towards graduate degree such as MS in biostatistics). Previous admin experience a plus.
