Prolacta Bioscience is seeking candidates to fill a full time QC Licensed Analyst II position. This role provides support of high complexity testing as well as daily routine testing of incoming raw milk samples, in-process, finished product, and stability samples.

·         Provide oversight of non-licensed personnel during execution of high complexity testing.

·         May provide leadership and/or guidance to junior colleagues on a semi-regular basis

·         Set-up, perform high complexity testing and report test results.

·         Work on moderately complex projects with team members as needed.

 

Other duties and responsibilities

·         Prepare reagents /controls and maintain inventory of reagents and supplies.

·         Perform instrument maintenance and maintain daily temperature charts.

·         Perform proficiency testing, competency assessment, parallel testing of instruments and reagents and maintain records.

·         Performs data entry into LIMS and other databases.

·         Demonstrate full understanding of routine and clinical laboratory procedures.

·         Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform high complexity and routine laboratory procedures to test the quality of incoming samples.

·         Apply knowledge of policies, practices, and underlying concepts to assignments.

·         Effectively complete assigned projects.

·         Serve as a technical resource.

·         Utilizes significant knowledge of laboratory testing in preparing conclusions and recommendations for investigations: LIR/NC/CAPA.

·         Completes laboratory testing on all samples in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

·         Maintains a safe and clean laboratory.

·         Disposes of hazardous/biohazardous wastes according to Prolacta established procedures.

 

What you bring to the role

Requirements:

·         Must have an active CA CLS or MLS license with 2 years -experience in Molecular Biology

·         Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Science, Chemical Engineering, or other related discipline

·         General lab experience, including experience with general lab equipment and good laboratory practices are a must.

Qualifications:

·         Able to multi-task and work at a fast-paced level.

·         Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in clinical and/or medical laboratory experience, qPCR testing experience is preferred.
