The person in this role will establish marketing and communications strategies, activities, and tools to educate, inform and inspire key stakeholders. This person will be globally and digitally minded in their approach, supporting Prolacta’s strategic efforts to grow our U.S. footprint and expand in markets outside of the U.S. as well as to connect with a growing number of employees, customers, and donors.

 

The Sr. Director/Director Marketing will be responsible for building, leading, and inspiring the global marketing team which is comprised of regional marketing, marketing communications and creative services. This global leader reports directly to the VP, Sales & Marketing and will provide thought leadership in developing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies with a heavy focus on global rollout of campaigns, and sales support tools.  This role will also be responsible for partnering with internal and external teams to design, create and deliver compelling content that will attract new customers, drive ongoing interest, and value to current customers, and enhance Prolacta’s voice and brand image. Finally, this individual will be expected to develop, track, and communicate metrics to highlight the performance of the various communication methods to determine which programs provide the best Return on Investment for the business.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  Provides leadership for the development of Marketing Plans including objectives and strategy for targeted markets. 

•  Develops, defines/refines, and leads the implementation of Prolacta’s 12- month Marketing and Communications Strategy 

•  Aligns with strategic marketing product marketing and sales to develop the best tools & communications vehicles to drive portfolio and product uptake & brand equity

•  Leads the Global Marketing Communications team to develop the voice and face of Prolacta through robust marketing and communication vehicles

•  Focuses on methods to influence customer perception of Prolacta’s brand/products/solutions relative to the competition such that Prolacta is able to occupy a clear, unique and advantageous position in the mind of both current and prospective customers

•  Develops tools and strategies/tactics for value creation and market development initiatives globally with existing and new product pipeline

•  Establishes effective relationship with the sales force with leadership, training, pricing and positioning expertise

•  Establishes metrics for the measurement of marketing program effectiveness

•  Develops and manages the marketing budget

•  Develops and provides leadership for a high performing global marketing management team to drive the execution of strategic marketing plans for meeting Prolacta’s overall business objectives

·       Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

o   Senior level marketing professional with a proven track record of success managing complex multi discipline sales scenarios.

 

Qualifications

·       Required Education & Experience: 

o   BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or related field

o   10+ years sales & marketing experience in life sciences or medical device for a technology driven company

o   5+ years in a leadership position

o   Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executive, sales, product development and key operational groups

o   Proven record of leadership and managing a marketing organization with global responsibility and establishing long term strategic growth initiatives

o   Proven success and track record as an individual contributor and manager who has grown top line results

·       Preferred:

o   MBA or other relevant advanced degree

o   Experience in a clinical and regulated environment

·       Sales background a plus
