Job Summary

 

Due to Prolacta’s growth ambitions and international customer’s interests regarding the benefits of using human milk on pre-term babies, we seek a highly motivated professional to evaluate the launch Prolacta’s products in Latin America. The person will be responsible to determine if Prolacta should aim at introducing the Prolacta products in the region. Assignment

 

We estimate a duration of 4-6 months for this assignment. The incumbent will be reporting to the VP of New Markets and Strategic Marketing for the duration of the assignment. Their current position will be filled temporarily, and the incumbent will return to their current role. If, as a result of the business case we decided to invest in Latin America, the current assignment could lead to the opening of a permanent position.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

·         Prioritize & sequence our entry by Latin America based on favorable market access conditions defined by potential, structure, regulatory access and fit with existing premature care funding mechanisms

·         Develop and present the business case for Latin America Market entry including (see page 3 for more details):

o   Market Size and Complexity

o   Regulatory Access

o   Market Access including Go-To-Market / Funding

·         In collaboration with HQ cross functional teams, develop a resource plan

·         Support access and reimbursement strategy

·         Proactively identify changes in healthcare and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly

·         Go to market (direct vs. distribution)

·         Identify key accounts / potential customers

·         Create and build relationships with region KOL’s, HCP’s associated with target NICU’s

·         Prepare financial business case including sales growth, expenses/resources

·         Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Operations, Finance, IT, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.

·         Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.

Job Requirements

 

·         8 – 10 years of Health care commercial experience. Include clinical sales, training, customer support, marketing, …

·         Experience in value, solution and complex selling

·         Recourse and self-starter

·         Project management & problem-solving skills required

·         Experience in business development, market and brand building

·         Successful launch experience and access management

·         Cross cultural skills and flexibility to operate in multiple countries

·         Excellent business acumen

·         Solid understanding of healthcare and regulatory requirements and issues

·         Knowledge of access: regulatory, health economics, pricing and portfolio selling

·         Individual must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks

·         Customer and patient focused  

·         Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally

·         Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

·         NICU experience a plus

·         Reports to VP International

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or sciences and 10 years’ experience in related field
  • Master’s Degree and/or nutrition/NICU experience a plus
  • Experience with business and strategic planning a plus
  • MBA a plus
  • Management experience a plus
  • Proficiency of Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
