Job Summary

 

Our Business Intelligence (BI) team has a need for an experienced and capable BI Analyst who will be responsible for collaborating with our stakeholders across the organization to understand their reporting needs and ensure successful execution of the entire BI solution. The BI Analyst will gather and document detailed requirements, participate in design, development, testing, roll-out, and training of BI solutions. The position is expected to perform the functions required of a Product Owner for the BI team.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·  Solicits input from each department for new projects and/or continuous improvement while consolidating solutions to use one single reporting tool

·  Gather detailed requirements, facilitate design and development of reports in conjunction with developers, contractors, and business stakeholders and ensure they are in line with business objectives

·  Responsible for Agile/Scrum Product Owner activities such as releasing planning, backlog grooming including updating appropriate epics/ user stories, managing sprint goals/ priorities and overall delivery of releases while adhering to Prolacta SOPs and change control procedures

·  Creates necessary documentation such as requirements, test scripts, training etc. to support the project, also responsible for user demos and training

·  Work with end-users to identify and analyze data issues and assist with resolving report issues or failures

·  Lead mid-size to large projects independent and manage communication between the business teams, technology, and other support teams

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

 

·       Proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, and ability to create mock-up of reports

·       General understanding of relational databases concepts

·       Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlikview, SSRS, Crystal Reports etc.

·       Experience in Waterfall and Agile SDLC with some experience in Product Owner role

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills required

·       Ability to research, understand and apply new technologies

·       Builds productive internal/external working relationships

·       Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into IT specific requirements

·       Ability to apply knowledge of the customer's functions and processes to develop business case and business requirement documents

·       Working knowledge of Data Warehouse, Datamart, Star Schema etc. will be a plus

 

Qualifications

  •         Bachelor’s Degree – Business/ Science or Technical program

·       Strong knowledge of business process and requirements

·       Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
