Job Summary

 

Due to dynamic growth and a recent promotion, we are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Sales and Marketing Team.  The position, Sales Training Manager, is responsible for the design and development of training sessions that increase employees’ skills and knowledge, with a goal of increasing productivity and positively impacting sales results. The training focus will be on Sales skills, Products & Services and Company/Corporate Culture. This position reports to the Director, Global Sales Development and Training, will have a future direct report, and is field-based. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·       Project lead for new hire sales classes: Develop and deliver sales training sessions and assessments by facilitating the most appropriate format for new hire sales training purpose; provide feedback to managers on new hire performance

·       Design, develop and implement training programs and materials for continuing education of experienced sales reps; includes key product launches, national and regional meetings, advanced sales trainings, teleconferences and other identified training opportunities and for experienced individuals in operations

·       Design on-line learning material for new and experienced sales staff

·       Provide support to key accounts by traveling with Prolacta Bioscience sales representative to high potential hospitals

·       Provide sales and clinical skills coaching and mentoring

·       Provide timely feedback after field visit to Prolacta Bioscience sales representative and direct report

·       Design and analyze assessments to identify skills and knowledge gaps

·       Ensure corporate culture is disseminated throughout the organization on a regular basis

·       Deliver product training for non-sales staff, internal employees such as marketing, accounting, etc.

·       Work closely with marketing team members to ensure a thorough understanding of products in the marketplace and to develop training to support tactical implementation of strategic marketing initiatives

·       Work with Senior Management to develop training strategy for new hires and continuing education for each individual department and how to best onboard internal employees

·       Collaborate with Medical Affairs team to train, problem solve, develop, and disseminate training tools for the sales team.

·       Work with field trainers to achieve departmental goals and objectives

·       Understand professional development resources available to sales team members and support development that increases their contributions to the organization’s success

·       Access resources to keep up-to-date on industry best demonstrated practices

·       Work with computer-based learning programs to insure self-paced study compliance

·       Help assess and meet the needs of the company’s global initiatives.

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

 

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated excellence with presentation skills

·       Ability to teach, coach and develop people in complex sales organization

·       Demonstrated ability to team and perform well in a matrixed environment

·       Demonstrated understanding of the selling process - ability to comprehend and execute sales processes

·       Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on time ability to organize and prioritize

·       Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity through setting high standards and achieving stretch goals

 

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

·       Bachelor’s degree required with 3 or more years of professional experience

·       Previous selling experience in healthcare industry with demonstrated success preferred

·       Successful healthcare industry training or marketing experience also plus

·       Clinical background in nutrition also a plus (RN, RD, Rph, PharmD)
