Job Summary

Head, Europe/Middle East Supply Chain is a key player in the global expansion of Prolacta Bioscience to Europe/Middle East. Working from a home office, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficient customer fulfillment, in accordance with our mission to meet the needs of extremely premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Initially a team of one, this leader will design an organization that can scale as necessary to support the needs of the enterprise.  Areas of influence will include: customer order management, 3PL oversight, import/export and tax compliance, forecasting, inventory management, and other responsibilities as identified.

 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·       Customer order management

·       Import/Export trade compliance

·       Day to day oversight of contract logistics partners

·       Selection of logistics partners

·       Inventory management

·       Article 23 compliance

·       Sales forecast management

·       Packaging reuse/recycling program

·       Supply interruption planning

·       Ensure compliance with Good-Distribution-Practices and other statutory requirements

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree (or similar) in supply chain, operations, business, economics, or similar field of study

·       10+ years Europe and Middle East logistics experience

·       5+ years leadership experience

·       Demonstrated Strategic planning expertise

·       Proven understanding of EU & Netherlands import/export and storage regulations

·       3+ years logistics experience working in the Pharma, Medical Device or Medical Foods industry

·       Call center (ex. order management, customer service) experience

·       Proven experience in 3PL and allied services management

·       Business fluency in English and Dutch

Work Environment (Location, travel, shift, on-call, etc.)

 

·       This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smart phones, photocopiers/scanners, shredders, etc..

·       This is a full-time position, requiring scheduling flexibility to support operations in the US and Europe as needed.

·       International and local travel as needed, approximately 30%

·       Work from home; regular oversight of logistics providers in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, etc.
