Job summary

 

The Sr. Project Manager (SPM), Marketing supports the Global Commercial and Marketing organization in all aspects of developing, managing, and implementing project management standards and processes to accomplish strategic goals and business objectives. The SPM is responsible to develop project plans, lead cross-functional teams, execute upon key deliverables, ensure that project and goals are aligned with organizational goals, and properly utilize resources to achieve results.

 

The successful candidate will have expert-level knowledge of project management with proven value-creation results and possess a hybrid of technical and soft skills. We’re looking for a responsible, articulate and motivated SPM who can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions to any problems. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at varying complexity and communicating progress to management at regular intervals.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

·         Provide the single point of accountability for commercial and marketing project management and implement best-practices, processes, methodologies, and metrics

·         Manage all project phases including project scope, pain points being resolved, business and technical requirements, testing and overall project success factors

·         Lead the development, implementation, communications and change management of introducing new programs, processes, product launches, customer development initiatives, etc.

·         Manage the internal legal, regulatory, quality, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant customer communications

·         Demonstrate independent judgment and collaborate with Project Sponsors and stakeholders from pre-defined disciplines to identify and confirm the scope of the project

·         Establish, maintain and control functionally integrated project schedules with input from all pre-defined disciplines to enable accurate project planning and execution

·         Facilitate and manage project teams, monitor critical path and team activities, including meetings, decisions, risks and actions

·         Track key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of project and business initiatives

·         Manage budgets and closely monitor performance to meet corporate goals and objectives, while adhering to company policies and procedures

·         Proactively communicate critical milestones, time-frames, risks and obstacles to all stakeholders and ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project

·         Collaborate with across cross functional partners including sales, regulatory, quality, operations, legal, IT, finance, etc.

·         Drive a firm commitment to quality control; ensuring consistency across all elements of a project

·         Analyze and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans

·         Lead participate in the Supportive PMO which includes developing project management standards and procedures, high level project reporting, and mentoring project leads in project management.

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related; with 7-10 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Preferred minimum 3-5 years of project management in an ad agency, marketing firm or commercial/marketing department or equivalent consulting experience with strong strategic management and planning expertise

·         Project Management training and certification required (e.g. PMP, certified agile practitioner)

·         Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement experience desired

·         Experience mapping current systems processes, identifying how a new proposed solution may impact the current state, and ensuring all impacted groups are involved and providing input

·         Ability to work under pressure, create and manage deadlines and be flexible while working on multiple projects simultaneously

·         Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations

·         Prior experience working in frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban a plus

·         Proficiency with project management practices, tools, software, and methodology, MS Project, Excel, Word and Visio
