Job Summary

Due to dynamic growth, we seek a highly motivated professional to develop product and market strategies that position the company to achieve short- and long-term growth to meet annual revenue and profitability goals. The ADPM will continually identify and assess new markets, product and technology opportunities and ensure resources and processes are in place to drive marketing strategy and capitalize on opportunities.

 

The ADPM will establish a global portfolio management function, building upon the current product offering, developing future product strategy, supporting continuous product improvement and commercialization. Additionally, they will lead the transformation of product ideas from their formative stages into actionable concepts, timelines, and projects; while maintaining consideration of the financial implications, marketing needs, and overall objectives of the business. The ADPM will have three direct reports and reports to VP of Global Marketing. If you have the qualifications listed below, we encourage you to look at this opportunity.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·         Establish a lifecycle/product portfolio management function driving product marketing, development and commercialization strategies including:

o    Current and future product roadmap – business portfolio management, line extensions, product/market rationalization, stage gate process

o    Commercialization - oversee development of strategies and marketing plans for entire portfolio and specific products, protocols, and/or product enhancements, ensuring proper positioning, messaging, leads pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities.

o    Establish and maintain accountability for effective launch plans, global forecasting – top-line volumes and financial projections – market share/penetration goals and profitability

o    Collaborate internally with cross functional team members from product, marketing, R&D, clinical, scientific, sales, operations, and customer service

·         Develop a product line strategic plan and direct team members in the development and execution of strategy via market assessments and marketing research, development and delivery of effective product mix, sales tools, value analysis, pricing and problem resolution.

·         Identify opportunities that lead to the growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals/priorities.

·         Facilitate development of the portfolio including the evaluation of potential opportunities from ideation through approval, and subsequent prioritization of viable projects.

·         Develop a global pricing strategy by product line that includes cost management/performance.

·         Actively keep abreast (and educate others) of market trends, customer insights, key stakeholders and other related professionals, organizations and associations.

·         Provide direction and execute product development, promotional materials, sales force collateral, and customer communication material, to ensure consistency with customer needs.

·         Evaluate product related communication, documentation programs, and support tools for effectiveness through objective market research, customer and sales force feedback.

·         Lead activities to acquire, evaluate, store and disseminate information on competitive products and competitive information.

Qualifications Required Education & Experience: 

·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, biology, chemistry, science, or similar discipline; PMP and Six Sigma certification a plus

·         10+ years product development, sales & marketing experience in life sciences or medical device for a technology driven company; 5+ years in a leadership position.

·         Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executives, sales, product development, regulatory, R&D and key operational groups.

·         Proven record of leadership, managing a global product marketing organization and establishing long term strategic growth initiatives.

·         Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical, medical device or related R&D processes/product management.

·         Experience leading cross-disciplined teams with internal and external members to deliver objectives per required timelines and within defined budgets.

·         Intimate knowledge of global marketing strategies, market requirements, competitive landscape, product development, commercialization (product, price and promotion) and a working knowledge of global sales strategies.

·         Ability to assess and integrate customer needs and market trends within the context of product systems and business capabilities.
