Job Summary

 

Prolacta Bioscience, headquartered in City of Industry, California, is a life sciences company that provides specialty formulations of human milk for the nutritional needs of premature and critically ill infants.  This Senior Financial Analyst position reports to the Finance Manager.  We are looking for an outgoing person looking to expand his/her skills and work on a variety of projects. The right candidate must be incredibly organized and detail-oriented.   

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·         Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly internal reports

·         Provides financial analysis support to various areas of the company

·         Works with other team members and management of various department projects with no supervisory duties

·         Develops, maintains and distributes ad-hoc reports and financials models as needed

·         Appropriately handles confidential and sensitive information

·         Leads ad-hoc and special projects as assigned by the CFO or Manager of Finance

·         Leads development of all financial forecasting and budgeting

·         Assists in leading strategic, annual and short-term planning, cashflow, income and expense, balance sheet, overhead spending, and capital expenditures

·         Budgets capital, analyzes expenditures, tracks projects, maintains capital reporting systems, reconciles general ledger account, and provides post analyses

·         Strategic initiative analysis, new product lines, product line changes, and new business opportunities

·         Monthly financial and operational analysis, acquisition and joint venture analysis, financial review of sales compensation plans and competitor analysis

·         Provides profitability analysis for strategic change

·         Interprets cost trends and develops standards to use in product analysis

·         Present focused financial information to senior management

·         Leads continuous improvement activities

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

 

·         Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision

·         Personable and professional

·         Strong analytical, organizational skills and attention to details

·         Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as a strong follow through skills

·         Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical

·         Work well with others in a fast paced, high intensity work environment

·         Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned

·         Willing to work overtime / beyond normal business hours as needed (exempt employees are not qualified for overtime pay)

 

Qualifications

 

·         Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or other Business related degree is the minimum

·         5 years minimum related experience

·         CPA/MBA Preferred

·         Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)

·         Ability to succeed in a team environment

·         Customer Service Oriented

·         Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls

·         Strong research and analysis skills

·         Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently

·         Excellent organization skills

·         Ability to manage competing priorities

·         Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance

·         Expert in Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
