Job summary

 

Responsible for supporting the IT team in all aspects of developing FDA compliant IT systems. The successful candidate will have a background in both business and IT and will have an extensive understanding of the software development life cycle. We are looking for a responsible, articulate and motivated Senior Project Manager who can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions to any problems. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and communicating their progress to management at regular intervals. Must be able to manage tradition waterfall projects as well as Agile projects.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

·        Demonstrate independent judgment and collaborate with Project Sponsors and stakeholders from pre-defined disciplines to identify and confirm the scope of the project

·        Establish, maintain and control functionally integrated project schedules with input from all pre-defined disciplines in order to enable accurate project planning and execution

·        Track key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of project and business initiatives

·        Ensure deliverables are produced in a timely manner while adhering to IT policies and procedures through the course of the implementations

·        Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards

·        Proactively communicate issues and concerns, providing transparency with executive management, project stakeholders and key customers. Ensure resolution of issues occur in a timely manner

·        Manage third party vendors and suppliers as needed

·        Manage scope, resources, budget through the course of the project

 

·        Lead, coordinate, and motivate associated project resources and key stakeholders to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables

·        Ensure project team members remain on track to meet project goals and deliverables, by directly contributing or leading appropriate team

·        Facilitate and manage project teams, monitor critical path and team activities, including documenting meetings, decisions, risks and actions; cross-functional communication; and tracking of technical deliverables

·        Perform duties of a Scrum Master and conduct the scrum ceremonies

·        Demonstrate technical and professional knowledge including understanding SDLC in a validated environment with the ability to convert IT strategy to executable tactical plans

 

 

Job Requirements and Qualifications

 

·        University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

·        PMP, Certified Scrum Master , Certified Product Owner

·        10+ years’ experience in managing the implementation of enterprise software solutions 

·        Experience in implementing Manufacturing systems, Labware systems, Financial systems

·        Prior experience working in frameworks such as  Agile, Scrum, Kanban as a Scrum master/ Monitor

·        Thorough knowledge of validation concepts in order to manage documentation requirements for validated systems

·        Sound knowledge of software development life cycle needed, with basic to strong understanding of other functions such as: Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Validation, Clinical Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Marketing

·        Proven success on management of complex, cross-functional projects

·        Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels  

·        Ability to work under pressure, create and manage deadlines and be flexible while working on multiple projects simultaneously

·        Excellent facilitation skills are required.  Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations

·        Ability to translate strategy into action; strong influence, negotiation, and presentation skills

·        Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, negotiating, influencing and strategic thinking

·        Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen along with demonstrated work ethic, integrity, professional conduct and appearance

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven track record to successfully collaborate and lead cross-functional resources

·        Proficiency with project management practices, tools, software, and methodology

 

·        Strong PC skills (MS Project, MS Office, Visio, Access, etc.) and understanding of systems for sharing and collaboration

·        Strong analytical skills, conflict management skills, process orientation and teamwork
