As a DevOps Support Technician at HRSoft, you will work to improve the stability and performance of HRSoft’s cloud-based applications. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential. You will drive initiatives aimed at reducing the number of low severity incidents and avoidance of high severity incidents through various methods. The right candidate will be able to quickly assess the current deployment architecture, support various teams, identify gaps and weaknesses, offer solutions, and assist in overall improvements.
In this role, you will:
Monitor the SaaS infrastructure to maintain HRSoft SLAs for uptime and performance
Develop a pro-active routine to identify problem areas before they become issues.
Build & maintain a strong working relationship with other Technical teams, Infrastructure Partners and Service Engagement Managers using the agile methodology (internal and external).
Work with teams to analyse and design infrastructure with 99.99% up-time.
Identify areas in need of automation and propose solutions to recurring issues.
What we're looking for:
Technical understanding of Cloud service offering, with a sound appreciation of the associated business processes.
Experience in supporting production cloud environments
Hands-on, working experience with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
Experience working with SIEM tools (Datadog, Splunk, ELK)
Knowledge of web security principals
Experience using web browser dev tools for initial debugging
Linux experience – comfortable working from command line
Some networking knowledge (routing, DNS)
Knowledge of HA and DR concepts
Flexibility in work hours
Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (Eg Python, Ruby, PowerShell, shell)
Solid understanding of web application architecture and RDBMS (SQL Server preferred)
Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements is a bonus. (Eg Security, Privacy, HIPAA, SOX, etc)
Strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills
Should have at least 1-2 years of related tech experience
