Tara Performing Arts High School is a private Waldorf High School located in Boulder, Colorado. Tara's mission is to awaken students' minds and hearts, to foster their sense of connection to each other and the world, to engage them in meaningful work and activities, and to excite them about life itself. The school is dedicated to providing opportunities for emotional growth and renewal through deep involvement in the performing arts. In addition to supporting lively intellectual development through a demanding Waldorf academic curriculum, the school encourages students to engage in artistic process as a way to explore the challenges of becoming fully human in our complex and challenging age.

 

Tara Performing Arts High School seeks a physics instructor for grades 9 - 12, teaching four blocks in Tara's unique perspective on the Waldorf high school curriculum. The phenomenological approach to the physics progression should cover thermodynamics in the 9th grade, mechanics and motion in the 10th, electricity and magnetism in the 11th and optics in the 12th grade. Ideal candidates would have Waldorf training, a background in physics, mechanics and/or engineering and be open to mentoring work with Tara science faculty and/or faculty emeritus. The base block rate is $800. Travel and lodging for visiting teachers will be compensated. Please submit a letter of interest along with your resume or cv.
