Tara Performing Arts High School is a private Waldorf High School located in Boulder, Colorado. Tara's mission is to awaken students' minds and hearts, to foster their sense of connection to each other and the world, to engage them in meaningful work and activities, and to excite them about life itself. The school is dedicated to providing opportunities for emotional growth and renewal through deep involvement in the performing arts. Position: Part-time High School German Teacher

Tara Performing Arts High School is seeking an experienced high school German teacher for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Teachers are responsible for lesson preparation and presentation, implementation of learning accommodations, student evaluation and written reports, collaboration with the current World Language Department as well as communication with students, parents, faculty and Tara leadership as appropriate. Candidates should be proficient in English, have a strong background in German and a familiarity with the traditions, cultures and literature from German-speaking areas. Candidates should also be prepared to implement an experiential approach to language education. High school teaching experience is preferred, as is familiarity with Waldorf education. 

 

German classes occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between the hours of 9:00 am – 1:30 pm. Compensation is paid for some prep time. The base hourly pay rate is $34/hour with possible adders for relevant experience and certifications. Please send a cover letter and your resume or cv.
