Cloud Partner Solutions Architect

We are the Presto company. Starburst is on a mission to modernize data access & analytics. Our company was founded in an unusual way - with customers and revenue from the beginning. Our growth is already ahead of some of the most successful software start-ups, and we don’t plan on slowing down!

Our opportunity is huge: every large company in the world suffers from a data silo problem. Traditional data warehouse products approach the problem with old solutions that breed inefficiency and ultimately can’t help business analysts run fast analytics on all their data.  Starburst provides a modern solution that addresses these data silo & speed of access problems. Starburst helps enterprises harness the value of open source Presto, the fastest distributed query engine available today, by adding the tools and 24x7 support that meet the needs for big data access at scale. Ultimately, Starburst helps organizations run analytics anywhere to make better business decisions.

We are currently seeking a Cloud Partner Solutions Architect to join our dynamic global solution architecture team. The Cloud PSA will play a critical role in being the Cloud SME (Subject Matter Expert) both to internal & external stakeholders.

Internally be the SME for all things Starburst on Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google or RedHat), create specific canned demo’s & content, collaborate with the product & Engineering teams to stay close to the new features & functionality being built/released, then deliver regular enablement to rest of the Solution Architects. Develop best practices for the cloud platforms and share those learnings with the rest of the company on a regular basis.

Externally, this role will support both the Starburst partner ecosystem and direct customer opportunities. The Cloud PSA will design, develop and deliver content & hands-on workshops focused towards raising the competencies of Starburst partner’s ( SI’s, Technology partners & cloud partners). This role will collaborate strategically with select partners to assist & build Starburst environments & centers of excellence to grow awareness & competencies to drive adoption of Starburst.

Occasionally the Cloud PSA will advise/guide field Solution Architects with customer POV/POCs to accelerate technical wins. This will involve providing guidance on RFI/RFP’s as well.

The Cloud PSA plays a critical role in enabling our partner ecosystem (strategic cloud, ISV, global & regional SI partners) to sell Starburst products and solutions, to grow revenues for both the partners and Starburst. The PSA is a high-leverage, high-impact, and very visible role responsible for ensuring widespread adoption of Starburst software and solutions through the Starburst partner community.
