Community Engagement Coordinator Job Description


Promise Academy exists to create personalized, world-class educational experiences that prepare all students to reach their potential and to change the world.


Students will use the skills they learn to create solutions for tough challenges in their community and in their world. The empathy and agency they develop from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade will produce the social entrepreneurs that will not only excel in college and career but who will change the world.

Promise Academy will accomplish this feat by creating a small school environment with a family-like feel, rooted in the understanding that the educational needs of each student are uniquely different. Promise Academy students will develop the capacity to tackle rigorous and relevant challenges in applied math, science, and technology. The combination of the empathy and cutting edge technological skills they acquire will give students the drive, confidence and agency needed to change the world around them.

Position: Community Engagement Coordinator

Reports to: CEO

Key Relationships: Families, CEO, Head of School

Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicating the mission vision and values of Promise Academy

  • Building relationships with students, families and the community

  • Recruiting and follow-up with students and families

  • Attending recruiting events

  • Supporting parents through the registration process

  • Communicate components of academic program

  • Successfully tailor their recruiting pitches to different audiences

  • Identifying and implementing effective recruitment strategies

  • Translation of documents from English to Spanish


  • Fluent speaking and writing in Spanish

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED
